Dr. Shadi loves sharing his expertise and passion for technology with the young generation, both as a university teacher and humanitarian worker. He believes in the power of education to build a better future, and volunteers everywhere he can to empower young refugees with job-relevant, in-demand coding skills.

Dr. Shadi is an active member of several advisory committees - including King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals in KSA, Princess Sumaya University for Technology (Jordan) and Higher Colleges of Technology (UAE). He holds a PhD in Smart Government from the University of Technology Sydney (Australia), as well as Master and Bachelor Degrees in IT from The University of Newcastle (Australia).

Marianne leads regional business development and new partnerships to support DOT’s regional expansion. She has also been the operational lead for DOT in Lebanon as Country Director since 2010.

Before joining DOT Lebanon, Marianne managed operations at World Vision International where she rolled out the refugee program in Lebanon. With her extensive experience managing NGOs and trusted expertise in issues concerning refugee communities in Lebanon, she has formed a solid network within Lebanese and international civil society.

Marianne holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut, a Master’s degree in Food Science from McGill University in Canada, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph University/Paris Dauphine.


Ibrahim Khafagy

Ibrahim dedicates his time to support and coordinate SAP Corporate Social Responsibility activities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joined SAP in May 2015 as a SAP University Alliances program associate responsible for rolling out the program in Egypt. A successful participant of the SAP Young Professional Program in 2014, Ibrahim graduated with 3 well-deserved SAP Certifications in SAP Fincancial Accounting, SAP Business Process Integration and SAP Project Management. He also achieved second best performance out of all 19 participants and 370 applicants to the program. Prior to working with SAP, Ibrahim was as a financial analyst at Moore Stephens Egypt Consultancy Agency.

Ibrahim also had an illustrious soccer career, where he played for two of the top Egyptian soccer teams: Al Ahly Club and Zamalek Club. He also represented Egypt while playing for the U-17 and U-19 national team. During his studies, he was the captain of the American University in Cairo soccer team. Ibrahim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration with a major in finance from the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
